Rap is the most pathetic sad a$$ attempt at music that's come out since Milli Vanilli...:frown:

And the saddest part is that few people notice.

So when they go down the streets bumpin 50cent or some other fagtard rapper, they don't realize they are embarrassing themselves. Poor sons-of-b!tches.:D

What's worse is it's getting trendier to export this musical form of anthrax to other countries, inspiring home-grown versions of US rappers, hence embarrassing the nations they represent. God help us all. Save us from this nightmare they call rap!:badday:

After all, you can't spell crap without the word rap.

I couldn't agree more. I don't know where was her mind when she wrote that. If you don't like it it doesn't mean it is crap, how can you say such a thing.

Rap is crap, Sprkinja is right on this one. A bunch of wannabe thugs jumping like apes spewing obscenities.
There's no such thing as good rap, rap is crap by definition. Instrumentally there's only one beat, as far as lyrics are concerned or shall I say as far as obscenities are concerned?

sure there is good rap and crappy rap, as there is for every other kind of music

Crap and rap are used interchangeably on my book, and that's only attributed to this genre.

I am not too fond of Rap as it is racist to white people.

Very true, but that's more to this crap. The message that they give to the young ones "Get rich or die trying" and crap like that...make it even worse than crap, makes it dangerous crap.

I speak for myself when I say that I don't judge people as I don't judge books from their covers.
As a matter of fact, I'm a big fan of jazz. BB King is truly a master at that genre.

Rap has no credibility. Just try and read their lyrics and tell me if that's sth you want your kids to listen to.

Albgene and No name...you rock...

Baloz and RoboCop...shame shame shame...:thumbdown

By the way my mentality isn't crap. You don't have to live with the scum I do so you really have no idea how serious this "rap" influence is on America's kids. You can read about it, but you'll never know until you live it. I live in what is called Section 8 housing projects, or "low-income housing" in laymen's terms. This is basically the 'hood' you hear your rappers talking about, and trust me, nothing good ever comes from people who grow up in these places and are fed a daily dose of the things the rappers speak of. I have a 5 year old daughter, and she doesn't listen to rap or hip-hop, and she is the most mature and courteous kid in this neighbourhood, and that's not me talking, that's the neighbourhood elders' opinions. She is by far the only kid who answers questions and follows instructions with a prompt "Yes, ma'am" or "Yes, sir" and follows through with the said action with little or no arguments. Sure she has her times, like any 5 year old, but overall she's far more well-behaved than her peers, and I believe it's due to the fact that she doesn't listen to that junk. It's not that I don't allow her, it's more of the fact I don't bring it into my home, and she herself refuses to listen to it. Due to the nature of the neighbour kids, and her peers at school, she's gained an awareness of things kids shouldn't know about at such an early age (but due to rap many do), such as sex, drugs, and alcohol...but she knows these things are bad and she refuses to be around anything that will expose her to these said objects or references to them. Also she gets a daily dose of religion in her life, we attend both church and mosque, so she is more spiritual than most children in her school and all the children in this neighbourhood...she's well taken care of let's just say, unlike most of the kids here, who are allowed to do virtually anything they want and cause hell and havoc for the rest of us.

Also if you want another reference, I know a boy who is 14 now, I've known his family since he was 12. I used to help him with his homework and watch him and his sister while their mother worked. I was a role model for him and he regarded me as "Aunt Sanja"...he used to hate rap, never listened to it, and was a very responsible kid for the most part. About 8 months ago I came over to help his mother with a project and he turned on the radio. He told me he had a new CD he wanted me to listen to, and popped it in. It was 50 cent's latest, and I asked his mother when he started listening to it, she said about 3 months before. At first it seemed harmless but his mom started complaining about his behavior, he was getting sloppy in his clothes, and his grades were dropping. Also he was stealing from his friends, and even stole a digital music player from my daughter. It upset her, and I had to ban him from my home. Lately he has started getting verbally and physically abusive towards his mother and sister, and our land-lord has sent out notices of complaints about his behavior, and recently I seen him outdoors and he showed me his new wallet and some very shocking contents--condoms. He's already sexually active, and he's verbally abusive to females. All this in a course of 8 months--I don't even know this boy anymore...he used to be good, decent kid who used good language and respectful remarks toward others...now he curses and addresses people as "biotch", "ho", or "nukka". Also he ends every word in "izzle", which makes him hard to understand. Basically he's gone from a mild-mannered courteous boy to a white ape...and there is only one explanation for it---rap. His sister and elder brother don't act anything like he does, but they don't listen to rap. Even his elder brother has pointed it out that it's the rap he listens to that has changed his behaviour...you tell me...I watched this kid, who I consider damn near close to family disintegrate into nothing...don't tell me my mentality is crap.

Artist: 2pac
Song: White Man's World
Album: Makaveli - The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory

I ain't saying I'm innocent of all this
I'm just saying
This song is for y'all
For all the times I mess up
when we mess up

Dear sister
Got me twisted up in prison
I miss yah
Crying
Looking at my nieces and newphews picture
They say don't let this cruel world get yah
Kinda suspicious,
Swearing one day you might leave me
for someone thats richer
Twist the cap off the bottle
I Take a sip And see tommorrow
Gotta make if I have to Beg and Borrow
Reading love letters
late night, locked down, and quiet
If brothers don't recieve their mail
Best believe we riot
Eating Jack mat
Staring at walls of Silence
Inside this cage
Where they captured all my rage and violence
In time I learned a few lessons
Never fall for riches
Aplogizies to my TRUE sisters
Far from *****es
Help me raise my black nation
Reperations are due
Its true
Caught up in this world
I took advantage of you
So tell the babies how I love them
Precious boys and girls
Born black in this white mans world
and all I heard was

(chorus)

Who knows what tommorrow brings
In this world where everyone lies
Where to go
No matter how far I find
To let you know
That You're not alone

Being born with less
I must confess
Only adds on to the stress
Two gunshots to my homies head
Died in his rest
Shot him to death
and Left him bleeding for his family to see
I pass his casket
Gently asking
Is there heaven for G's?
My homeboys doing life
Begging mama be stressing
Shedding tears
When her son finally ask that questions
Where my daddy at?
Mama, Why we live so poor?
Why you crying?
Heard you late night
Throught my bedroom door
Now do you love me mama?
Why do they keep calling me nigger?
Get my wieght up, with my hate
and pay 'em back when I'm bigger
Still thugging in this jail cell
MIssing my block
Hearing brothers screaming all night
Wishing they'd stop
Proud to be black
But why do we act like
We don't love oursleves
Don't look around
busta (you sucka)
Check yourselves
know what if means to be black
whether a man or girl
we're still struggling in this
White man's world

(chorus)

(we must fight)
Who knows what tommorrow brings
In this world where everyone lies
Where to go
No matter how far I find
To let you know
That You're not alone

So tell me why you changed
Choosing new direction
In a blink of an eye
My time away just made perfection
You think I'd die
Not gonna cry
Why should I care
Like we holding on to love
Thats no longer there
Can you please help me
God Bless me please
Keep my seeds healthy
Banging on my enemies Bleed
While my G's healthy
Hoping they bury me
With ammunition, weed, and shells
Just in case they trip in heaven
Ain't no G's hell
Sister sorry for the pain
That I caused your heart
I know I'll change
If yah help me
But Don't fall apart
Rest In Peace
To Latasha, Little Yummy, and Kato
To much for this cold world to take
Ended up being fatal
Every women in America
Especially Black
Bear with me, can't you see
We're under attack
I never meant to cause drama
To my sister and Mama
Will we make it
To better times

In this white man worlds

With all due respect guys, I like you both you're good fellas, BUT you have to live in North America to have better understanding of rap and rap culture. You're both young and on this topic you're just letting that get the better of you.

Rap does not set a good example to the young ones. Glorifying a thug lifestyle, calling women "biotch-es", calling whites "crackers", 'die rich or die trying" attitude is not what we really need believe me.
BUT you would not know this as you live in Europe, so next time you speak about the greatness of Tupac, a thug who used to spit at journalists and used to associate himself with certified criminals such as Suge, do your homeworks and see the BIG PICTURE.

Oke but Rambo and Rocky are not real also,
Get rich or die trying is just a (very good) movie thats all..
Some of you are mixing movies and real life..
Tupac was the BEST rapper ever, i still love his rap about real things in the black man's world, don't forget that black people are 3 class people in the USA..
A lot of time's getting beaten by police, very bad jobs offer, and so on... Rap is a way of expression..

There something VERY wrong in the USA, the treatment of black people is the biggest problem, so if you have no money and no job you have to make a living, but that has nothing to do wite rap... Again rap is just a way of expression..

I also agree Balozi and Makeveli are great guys but rap is very racist to the white race.
Look at this lyric:
Sir-Mix-A-Lot - 'Even White Boy Wants Some'
So he wants to say we are not good enough for the things they have?
There are many any other examples!
I think rock music is much better, it has actual meaning apart from rap songs with being 'gangster'.
But i think 2pacs song are the only ones that had truths in it.
But really here in the UK blacks have be come more violent to white people and when they dont get their way they say whites are instantly racist. Though dont get me wrong i have NOTHING agianst blacks i just think rap music sucks.

yes but there's plenty of crap in rock too. anyway, the point here is that rap is a production of being subject to racism, at least that's how it started. now you have gangster wannabes singing rap, the only ones who listen to that kind of rap are 15 year olds

I don't think that any real rapper listens 50 cent.
I don't listen rap but i say that text of the rap songs are great. Much beter than those in stupid pop songs which are constantly becoming no_1. Here in Balkan text of rap songs talks very truly of the problems in socitey. They are often great critic of society.
And I don't think that it is more violent of other kinds of music.

I'd say Punk rock makes more of an impact than Rap. Grunge 2!
I mean Kurt Cobain started a new theme and new tyope of music. I mean people stopped listening to rap and listened to Grunge.
Punk Rock made more impact by their words on politics. I heard Sex Pistols even were responsible for riots and protests!

Kurt Cobain and all the bands of the early 90's were part and created, to my opinion the golden years of music. Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, Radiohead, Pearl Jam etc. That's what I call music.
Sex Pistols were the forefathers of punk music while Nirvana gave birth to grunge.

Ratm are the real amateurs Baloz. If you like grunge you better stick with Nirvana, if you like metal I'd suggest Pantera, if you like punk, yet again I'd suggest Sex pistols, if you like rap...any crap would do...
