I heard Serbia's song and I think that this year they do really deserve to win. The song is composed by the guy who sang Lane Moje (or smth like that) in 2004 Eurosong contest. Very good song!

imo the songs in the second semi final were way better than those in the first one.in the second sei final the only ones i didn't like were macedonia and the last one(i think it was portugal)the rest were ok.in the first semi final ok song were armenia(the music was good, the singing sucked, but stil...it was one of the better), the finland one was also good, and that's all.there were more good songs, but i don't remember them.

Incidents
Two Polish fans were roughed up in front of Belgrade's arena. They entered a taxi trying to get to a hospital, however, the taxi driver kicked them out when he heard they were from Poland (Poland recently recognized Kosovo). Upon hearing of the incident, Eurovision organizers feeling bad, decided to pay for their stay.
Another interesting moment was when the Serb host spoke to the Macedonians, asking "How are my dear Macedonians". The Greek fans were outraged by the comment and felt the Serb host had provoced them.

There is a lot of discusion and bitter comments about political and not musical voting in Eurovision, so I made a small analysis on how the various country-groups voted this year. Here are the results ( the country-grouping is mine):
1st group - Balkans ( Greece, Albania, FyroM, Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Hergegovina, Croatia, Slovenia,Romania, Turkey, 11 countries):
1.Serbia 77 pts
2.Greece 76 pts
3. Russia 75 pts
4.Ucraine 58 pts
5. Bosnia 55 pts
6. Armenia 54 pts
So Balkans voted 5 of the 6 countries that were in the final top-6 ( also voted Bosnia instead of Norway). 3 of their choices were balkan.
2nd group -Mediterranean (Portugal, Spain, Andorra, France, San Marino, Malta, Cyprus, Israel, 8 countries)
1. Ucraine 51 pts
2.Armenia 48 pts
3.Greece 45 pts
3. Russia 45 pts
5. Spain 31 pts
5. Portugal 31 pts
So Mediterranean voted 4 of the 6 countries of the final top-6 ( also voted Spain and Portugal instead of Norway and Serbia). 2 of their choices were mediterranean.
3rd group -North-west Europe ( UK, Ireland, Nederlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, 6 countries)
1.Greece 47 pts
2.Turkey 44 pts
3.Armenia 30 pts
4.Serbia 28 pts
5.Portugal 25 pts
6.Latvia 22 pts
This group voted for 3 of the final top-6, but included Turkey,Portugal and Latvia instead of Russia, Ucraine and Norway. None of their choices was in their group!
4rth group- Central Europe (ex socialist) (Poland, Czech Rep.,Hungary, 3 countries):
1. Ajerbaitzan 29 pts
2. Armenia 24 pts
2. Ucraine 24 pts
4. Russia 23 pts
5. Serbia 17 pts
6. Greece 16 pts
So they voted 5 of the final top-6, but included Ajerbaitzan instead of Norway. Also none of their choices was in their group.
5th group- Scandinavian ( Iceland, Norway, Danemark,Sweden,Finland, 5 countries):
1.Norway 44 pts
2.Iceland 35 pts
3.Denmark 29 pts
4.Bosnia 28 pts
5.Sweden 23 pts
6.France 20 pts
So the Scandinavians voted only 1 country (Norway) from those in the final top-6! 4 of their 6 choises were scandinavic!
6th group- Ex-USSR ( 3 baltic, 3 caucasian, Russia, Ucraine, Belorus, Moldavia, 10 countries, all with large russian minorities)
1. Russia 98 pts
2. Ucraine 70 pts
3. Norway 56 pts
3. Georgia 56 pts
5. Ajerbaitzan 54 pts
6. Armenia 40 pts
6. Israel 40 pts
Ex-USSR voted 4 of the final top-6, 5 of their 7 choices were in the group.
Based on the above, it seems that strongest lobbying and political vote is among Scandinavians and Ex-USSR.
The winners (Russia) and the second (Ucraine) were among the top-6 of all groups but North-west Europeans and Scandinavians.
3rd (Greece) and 6th (Serbia) were in the top-6 of all but Scandinavians and Ex-USSR.
4rth Armenia was in all but Scandinavians
5th Norway was in the top-6 only in Scandinavians and Ex-USSR.
Anyway, even if one excludes the votes from the Ex-USSR countries, the top-10 remains the same, only in a different order:
1.Greece 188 pts
2.Russia 174 pts
3.Ucraine 160 pts
4.Armenia 159 pts
5.Serbia 149 pts
6.Norway 126 pts
7.Turkey 111 pts
8.Bosnia 107 pts
9.Israel 84 pts
10.Ajerbaitzan 78 pts
So, political voting maybe has as strong effect on who comes first, but it seems that it is not so important to define which songs will take the most and which the least votes!

Azeri song was the best , how come they convinced R.J. Dio and mr Coverdaile to sing for them?
(btw i also saw Serbian and another one during my visit to a pizza shop , the chorus of the song was "kounene kounekoune kounene" ? sounded like PAOK fans chant :D )

lol albania in the final :P
She said many at homes advised her not to go, and that she was herself afraid, but in the end all turned out well. She was proclaimed the Cutest in Belgrade, afterwards went on a quick party behind, and then announced to the Serbian television that she will be back to Belgrade by the end of the year.
I heard Serbia's song and I think that this year they do really deserve to win. The song is composed by the guy who sang Lane Moje (or smth like that) in 2004 Eurosong contest. Very good song!
Yes, that's him. He (Zeljko Joksimovic) was also the host of the show, if anyone noticed. :D
The song is indeed very, very nice, but simply not the one for first place. When you hear it - you just know it. Especially if compared to The Prayer of Maria Serifovic e.g....
BTW it's actually not far to keep it twice in a roll in the same country. No matter how good is the song, I always favor someone else's victory
