Whenever I look at the bottom...there's like 2 actual members and 50 guests. If you don't want people signing up, that's cool, but maybe you can restrict some parts to guests if you want more people to sign up.

i think that "guests" could be sometimes search engines that are spidering the forum

anyway i was in one forum yesterday and after browsing some threads it said that if i want to read more then i should register. i never liked forums that dont let you read if you are not registered but i think that doing it this way, for example letting guests read 10 threads and then having them to register doesn't sound so bad

although there might be some problems with search engines... anyway, just an idea

No, i don't think i will do that. If people want to register and post, that's great. If they don't, well, they can just read, it's fine. I don't want to force anyone to register, that's annoying.
