So, the festival finished, but i'll leave with 3/4 of my favorite moments:

1. Trio Rabih Abou-Khalil & Joachim Kühn (Libano/Germany)

(the Arab short-neck lute which in the Arab world is the instrument of composition, enjoying the same overall popularity as do guitar and piano together in ours)
Joachim Kühn (german) - piano (alto saxophone)
Jarrod Cagwin (american)-percussionist

The Trio: "They perform and throw melodies at each other, reaching out to grasp them up quickly and further develop what they havecome up with.
Much like basket-ball players they dribble them around, bouncing them lightly and passing them on, quite obviously enjoying them selves while doing so."


2.TRILOK GURTU & THE MISRA BROTHERS (India)

their singing is very, very beautiful,their voices appeared to come from some other plane of existence, far removed from the material concerns of the modern world... O:-)

next July it will happen again, but i would give it one or two more years, because even with almost no publicity it's getting much too crowded
